The Duties of a Superhero Student

It is your duty to identify and inform Superhero Academy the areas which you need help in. Superhero Academy will try our best to identify the areas that are in need of improvement but we cannot help you if we do not know what you need help with.

Any assignments and homework given by Superhero Academy is important to help you improve and it is your duty as a Superhero Student to complete the work given in the time specified. Not completing assignments and homework will affect the lessons and you may not benefit as much as you should from it.

It is your duty also to prepare all necessary materials (books, stationeries etc.) before the class commences so that no time is lost and so that the time for every lesson is fully utilised.

If you are not well, it is better that you stay at home so as to limit any chances of spreading the illness to other students and teachers at the centre.

Use all equipment and property of Superhero Academy with care and consideration for others. Any damages done to our equipment and property may require necessary compensation to replace or repair them.

Your commitment and consideration of others is essential for everyone to learn in a safe and conducive environment.

The Duties of Superhero Academy

It is the Superhero Academy’s duty to prepare lessons before each class and to structure them in such a way which would optimise time at your benefit.

Superhero Academy’s role is to teach and assist you in understanding lessons and not to complete homework and assignments on your behalf. Should you need help in completing your school homework however, you can show them to us and we will aid you in understanding it in order that you will be able to complete it on your own.

Superhero Academy has a duty to keep confidential all of your information and we can only contact other parties involved in your education only if given the written permission to do so.

In the case of non-payment, Superhero Academy will not be obliged to provide our services to you and the allotted slot which has been reserved for you may be open to others.

Superhero Academy may also contact a third party to carry out our duties but only after prior agreement with you.

After-School Programme

The After-School Programme offered by Superhero Academy is an enrichment programme for students who school elsewhere to keep them occupied and continue the learning process after usual schooling hours, and not to be confused with “Daycare” and related services that come along with the usage of this term.

Students who are absent from school but wish to come to the centre for the entire day are chargeable at an additional RM25/day starting at 8.45am, provided that the centre is open according to our Academic Calendar. A 24-hour notice is required before the student comes for the entire day in order for necessary arrangements to be made.

We reserve the right to accept or reject the student’s request to be present at the centre for the entire day.

Charges

1. Tuition fees are billed per month and considered as monthly fees. These fees must be paid before the 7th day of each month.
2. A one-time Advanced Payment equivalent to one month’s fees may be charged upon registration. This payment will be be used to offset your final bill provided that a 30-day advance written notification for the termination/change to any of our services is given.
3. Registration fees & Materials fees are charged for additional materials to supplement your workbooks and textbooks, and also admin processing fees.
   To give you the best quality of education, we also subscribe to various resources from the UK, the US and Singapore in order to use additional materials which are international standard. You may also be charged for any books which will be used during lessons.
4. We reserve the right to decide if we need to make any adjustment to the rates of our fees. However, you will be notified 30 days prior to any changes.
5. Classes that fall on a public holiday will not be replaced as these are offset by months where there are 5 weeks. Classes will be held according to our Academic Calendar. We commit to a minimum of 44 sessions a year for each course/subject. 
6. All fees paid are non-refundable.

Class Cancellations

1. Cancellation by the student: We understand that sometimes the need may arise to cancel a lesson due to various reasons. However, should you choose not to have a class which has been scheduled, please inform Superhero Academy 24 hours in advance in order for us to make necessary arrangements and rescheduling of other lessons to accommodate a replacement class for you, if possible. If less than 24 hours notice is given, we will unfortunately not be able to make the necessary arrangements to replace your missed class and any fees which you have paid will be forfeited. Cancellations for the After-School Programme and Cambridge Programme is not applicable for replacement.
2. Cancellation by the tutor: Should Superhero Academy not be able to make it for one of the scheduled lessons with you, be assured that we will replace that class at a time which is suitable to the both of us.

Suspension of Service

1. If for any reason, you choose to suspend our services, you are allowed to do so for thirty (30) days free of charge, in one calendar year. After this period, you may choose to extend the suspension for a maximum of another thirty (30) days at a charge of half of the total monthly fees.
2. After this extended period, the student will automatically be withdrawn from Superhero Academy and all advance fees or deposits will be forfeited.

Duration

This agreement is binding until the completion of the services provided.

Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service constitute all the terms and conditions agreed upon between you, the Registered Student, the Primary Contact and Superhero Academy and supersede any prior agreements in relation to the subject matter of these Terms of Service, whether written or oral. Any additional or different terms or conditions in relation to the subject matter of the Terms of Service in any written or oral communication from you to Superhero Academy are void. Any alteration to this agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties.

By registering for any of Superhero Academy’s courses or services, you are accepting our Terms of Service.
